I remember growing up in the 1970's with free television. It was analog television
with an antenna on the roof that worked very well. There was always a clear signal and a clear image on the screen. You had to watch commercials
of course, to support the free programming - I had no problem with that.
Today now that we are paying for television, why are we still watching commercials?

-------= System News from Steve Johns, system admin=------- 5/10/2008: There have been a lot of brute force hack attempts on the ftp server (from China, of course). I lock out any IP that attempts a brute force login attempt on the administrator account (which does not exist by the way). 90% of hack attempts origionate from somewhere in China (I trace IP addresses on a dialy basis). 4/28/08:
The main PC (an IBM Thinkcenter) died and went to the trash. This system is now running on a backup workstation (an old Compaq Deskpro). Performance might be slower until I build a custom server soon. Look for faster performance by the end of May '08.
