About
This is a simple blog of my astronomical research and observations. Since a boy, I have always been fascinated by the space sciences: growing up within the start of the space age was the cause. Witnessing the Saturn V rockets lifting off on TV and seeing, live, Niel Armstrong taking those first steps on the Moon had me hooked…
With the recent purchas of new astronomical gear - a Mead LXD75 sn-10 Schmidt-Newtonian and CCD cameras, look for astrophotography here soon.
How did I witness the first steps on the Moon you ask? I was six years old in 1969: it was late in the evening, and I was asleep. My mother and father came into the room and woke me up, took me to the living room and stood me up in front of our new black and white television. They did not want me to miss it – I saw Neil Armstong and Buzz Aldrin climbing down that ladder and taking those first human steps on the Moon.
